Players of the match were Sarah Dodson (wing attack for Convent) and Clare Ahier (wing defence for St Clement).

After such a close game umpire Maureen Cox said afterwards that it was probably the sharpest she had seen both teams for some time and put it down to their playing against Cheshire at the weekend.

On the adjacent court a full-strength St Clement D team beat St Ouen A 41-20 in Division II, although the westerners were only able to field six players and had to play Amber Cox and Becky da Silva out of position as shooters. For St Clement Beth Robin was player of the match while for St Ouen it was Lauren Arthur.
