Baker signs deal with Plymouth FC
Wednesday 25th February 2009, 2:59PM GMT.
ST PAUL’S Football Club under-16 midfielder Jake Baker is to join Plymouth Argyle.
The former Star Trophy under-15 schoolboy cap has secured a two-year scholarship with the Pilgrims and he will leave the Island to join up with the Championship club on 30 June.
In the meantime the Grainville School student will continue to play for St Paul’s before moving to the south west of England where he will move in and live with a family.
A delighted Baker said: ‘This is a second opportunity for me after things did not work out at Portsmouth and I’m determined to grasp it with both hands.’
