Jamie’s kitchen to serve up Jersey food during May
Wednesday 25th February 2009, 2:57PM GMT.
JERSEY produce will be given a publicity boost when Island food producers join forces with renowned Jamie Oliver restaurant Fifteen in May.
The month-long partnership will involve the high-profile London restaurant which featured in the series Jamie’s Kitchen serving Jersey-sourced crab, Jersey Royals, bass, pollack, scallops, cream, asparagus and salads.
Staff will tell diners about the origin of the Jersey-grown ingredients and the care that goes into producing them.
Economic Development Minister Alan Maclean said that the partnership would give Jersey a very welcome additional profile in London at an opportune time and to an ideal audience.
Jamie Oliver and the Fifteen restaurant in London have always used Jersey Royals and will be using a greater variety of Island produce this May

Do I detect sarcasm in your post? Aren’t you along with so many others always complaining that Jersey is a ‘one legged economy’ with finance? Surely such promotion should be supported by all who slate our economic reliance on the finance industry. This is excellent news for our export industries – I hope it expands and good luck to them.
