Majorca hosts Jeux des Iles

THIS year’s Jeux des Iles will be held in Majorca.

With less than four months until the event, organising committee COJI – Comité d’Organisation Jeux des Iles – has finally decided that the annual event will be held on the Balearic isle during the last week of May.

The news is somewhat of a relief to Jersey team manager Hugh Raymond, who has been eagerly awaiting confirmation of the event location and dates in order to sort travel plans as quickly – and cheaply – as possible.

He said that Majorca might not work out to be the most cost-effective destination, but costs aside, he was sure that it would prove to be a perfect location for the event.
