Island manager to step aside after Muratti final
Tuesday 3rd March 2009, 3:00PM GMT.
ISLAND football team manager Dave Kennedy is to effectively relinquish his post after the Muratti final in Guernsey in May.
The former Alloa Athletic, Dunfermline Athletic and Livingstone professional is standing down because of a significant change in his personal circumstances, in particular work commitments and family life.
Kennedy, therefore, will not be travelling with Jersey’s squad for the Island Games in Aland this summer, although still remaining as manager until the end of the season, with that caretaker task being put into the hands of current Jersey coach and St Paul’s manager Craig Culkin, who will be assisted by his right hand man at St Paul’s, Martin Cassidy.
