Part of that routine by the Channel Island Good Citizen Dog Scheme Gold Award Display Team will be carried out against the background music from the film Raiders of the Lost Ark.

The team is made up of representatives from the Jersey Junior Dog Handlers, the GSD (Alsatian) Training Club and the Guernsey Island Dog Training Club.

The dogs taking part are breed and cross-breed animals as no dog is exempt from taking a Good Citizen Dog Scheme Award.

Team leader Janet Collins said that it was a great honour to be asked by Kennel Club UK to stage a display at Crufts. They will be showing the crowds their skills at two performances on Saturday and three on Sunday.
