Jersey quartet chosen to man the barricades
Thursday 5th March 2009, 2:58PM GMT.
THERE will be some familiar faces treading the boards when Les Misérables comes to Jersey later this month.
Four local children will star alongside an international cast in the production at Fort Regent on 20 and 21 March after being auditioned X Factor-style for the roles of Cosette and Gavroche. Max Cox (10) was chosen to play the role of the street child Gavroche, with Harrison Mayo (11) acting as understudy, and Jenny Noel (10) and Elle Couley (7) were selected from over 60 girls to play the role of Cosette – although it is not yet known who will take on the role on which night.
Both Gavroche and Cosette will perform a solo in the production which runs in the 1,900-seater Gloucester Hall at Fort Regent on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 March.
