Could do better!

AM I alone in finding the service offered to Jersey by Cineworld, our only cinema, somewhat disappointing? Despite having ten screens, it shows some of the films, highly praised in all the press, for such a short time.

Recent examples have been The Reader, Frost/Nixon and Doubt, all very well reviewed and the showings of which were of minimal duration. Also a number of films receiving four or five stars in the quality press, never reach us at all.

Cineworld’s premises on the Waterfront, comfortable inside, are generally considered an eyesore, and the terms of its lease are generous to the company. Perhaps in return, Jersey film-lovers deserve a better, more comprehensive service.
