JERSEY’S under-15 schoolboys will bid to extend their unbeaten run to five matches in the Star Trophy away to Guernsey tomorrow lunchtime.
With three wins and a draw in the last four years behind them, joint-team manager Russell Le Feuvre, who is assisted by Craig Northedge, is confident Jersey has the ability and strength to do well. Le Feuvre said: ‘There is a great togetherness about this squad, they are a real close knit group and that’s good considering they come from a wide range of schools.
‘There are no individuals and there is a great encouragement all round whether they are on the pitch or on the sidelines and that’s fantastic for team spirit. Everyone has trained well and they put in a good performance to beat the U16s this week in their final warm-up game. Our recent tour to France has brought about a great togetherness and we had two physically tough games and in the long run that will help the boys.’
