New freight link to Europe

TWO Jersey firms have teamed up to provide a mid-week freight service between Jersey and Europe.

Pete Crafter, who runs Harbour Facilities Ltd, and Ziggy Norris of Norris and Sons European Haulage, are now offering a door-to-door service to and from anywhere on the Continent, via the Normandy port of Granville.

The two have known each other since childhood and, having met up again some months ago, decided that their businesses could be of mutual benefit.

They believe there is a gap in the market for a mid-week freight service to Normandy, given that Condor’s freight service to St Malo runs on a Saturday.
