Bungee business jumps to attention of jobseekers
Saturday 4th April 2009, 2:59PM BST.
IT may seem like the number of job vacancies in Jersey has plummeted since the start of the economic downturn.
But a new bungee jump firm has put the bounce back into the market after receiving 126 inquires for a site attendant post in just three days.
And despite the job being restricted to those with five years’ residency, the company has received applications from as far away as Australia and Canada. The firm – Jersey Bungee – opened its bungee trampoline on Parade Gardens today.
The device will allow Islanders to bounce to a height of about eight metres while strapped into a harness above a trampoline.
