Walkovers storm home
Tuesday 7th April 2009, 3:00PM BST.
WALKOVERS are champions of Division II of the NatWest Indoor Cricket League, following their four-wicket victory over Jersey United Banks in last night’s play-off.
Winning the toss and putting Banks in, Walkovers restricted them to 50 all out in under eight overs, with only MacIntosh (17 runs) and Kemp (19 runs) reaching double figures.
Jonny Bouchard had the top bowling figures with three wickets for just seven runs in his two overs. Not as productive with the bat Bouchard and fellow opener Nick Richardson only knocked one run off the target between them, leaving the unbeaten Mark Roche (26 runs) and Le Roux (21 runs) to pass the mark with their 52 for 2 total.
