Relegation for Wanderers
Thursday 9th April 2009, 3:00PM BST.
Jersey Wanderers were relegated from the Coca-Cola Combination Premiership last night after a 2-0 defeat by Sporting Accies.
They now join the already relegated Accies in the Championship next season.
But the news came as a welcome surprise to Rozel Rovers who cling on to their Premiership status for another season.
Wanderers president Gary Dauvin said that the pressure was too much for the young side.
‘We are all pretty disappointed we have gone down again,’ he said. ‘But I am more disappointed with our performance last night. The nerves got the better of us, particularly being a young side. Accies probably did deserve to win the game.’

Wanderers have been shocking all season. the manager needs to take the blame as well as the players who have all underachieved this season. too many kids playing against men, it was never going to work.
