Championship duo battle for right to challenge Trinity and Co

DSC_8700TRINITY’S footballers are red-hot favourites to secure the Island’ Premiership title today, needing only a point from their home match against Grouville to do so.

At the very least Joe Morley’s men, unbeaten in the league this season, will end up with a title play-off with current champions St Paul’s, but for that to happen Grouville must spring a surprise victory, while Saints must travel to St Ouen and win.

Grouville, who have had the heartache of losing two cup finals in the last seven days, will surely find it tough to raise their game again.

There is also huge interest in the sides bidding to replace relegated Wanderers and Sporting Academics in the top flight.
