Ex-teacher on internet charges

A FORMER teacher has been charged with trying to contact schoolgirls over the internet following a police investigation into alleged online abuse.
David Roy Forno (35), a former maths teacher at Les Quennevais School, was today due to appear at the Magistrate’s Court charged with allegedly trying to contact girls while posing as a teenage boy.
He faces five counts of inciting to make indecent images of a child under the Protection of Children (Jersey) Law 1994.
Mr Forno, who is now a trainee company secretary for a finance firm, was arrested on Friday in connection with the ongoing inquiry. Police also seized a number of his computers. Mr Forno was later interviewed and charged the following day.
