Flying Brands new chief buys 12% stake
Monday 20th April 2009, 3:00PM BST.
THE new chief executive of St Lawrence direct mail business Flying Brands has bought 12% of the company, ahead of Wednesday’s annual general meeting.
The move has fuelled speculation about the intentions of Scottish entrepreneur Sir Tom Hunter, whose company West Coast Capital controls 30% of the shares.
Sir Tom registered a bid for Flying Brands last year but failed to reach agreement with the then board of directors.
In February chief executive Tricia Killen quit her post and was replaced by Stephen Cook, a former consultant to West Coast Capital.
