Brodie’s back but Brown misses out
Friday 24th April 2009, 3:10PM BST.
INJURIES have forced Island football manager Dave Kennedy to announce a 20-player squad for the Cimandis Muratti in Guernsey on Sunday 3 May.
Former Island captain Dave Brodie is back in contention after playing the last four matches for Jersey Scottish while team-mate Mark Brown and St Paul’s duo Jordan Docherty and Craig Leitch are all missing as they are out of the Island next weekend.
Trinity duo Steven McCarter and John Beatson miss out due to injury, and there are doubts on two others, strikers Craig Russell and Paul Aitken.
Kennedy said this morning: ‘Mark Brown’s wife booked him a surprise holiday and his absence is a massive void for us. In my opinion he is the best player in the Channel Islands.’
