Children warned about strangers on the internet
Friday 24th April 2009, 2:58PM BST.
JERSEY children have been warned of the dangers of speaking to strangers over the internet.
The Jersey Child Protection Committee has issued advice to youngsters and parents on how to stay safe online.
It comes just days after a man was charged with allegedly trying to entice a teenage girl into sexual behaviour over the internet.
The committee’s e-safety team has warned youngsters not to give out personal details online to people they don’t know and to speak to a parent or career if they have concerns about people they have spoken to on the internet.
