WOMEN employed at HSBC in Jersey have launched an Island branch of the Women’s Development Association.

More than 120 members of staff from the bank’s four Jersey offices attended the first event at the Grand Hotel.

The new branch has been spearheaded by IT business analyst Jackie Hill, corporate events and CSR manager Sharon Slade and sales manager Alison Till, who all work for the international banking division.

The organisation says it aims to ‘empower female employees to reach their full potential, professionally and personally, and to provide a forum for discussion on issues affecting women in business today’.
