TWO Deputies accused of breaking the Public Elections (Jersey) Law have pleaded guilty to all the charges against them.

Deputies Geoff Southern and Shona Pitman appeared in the Royal Court for the first time yesterday to enter their pleas.

The St Helier No 2 Deputies face charges of interfering with the application for registration of postal and pre-postal votes. They are charged with offences under article 39a of the Public Elections (Jersey) Law, which prohibits helping voters to apply for a postal vote.

Deputy Southern pleaded guilty to 20 charges and Deputy Pitman pleaded guilty to two charges. The court fixed 20 May as the date for sentencing.
