Convent top of the CI tree once again
Monday 27th April 2009, 2:59PM BST.
CONVENT A once again reigned supreme at the weekend to take the Division I netball Upton title and make it a clean sweep of four trophies this season.
St Brelade B also proved worthy victors for Jersey in the Division II clash against Nerine E, 44-24, while Accies C narrowly lost out in Division III to Nerine H by just two goals, 27-25.
In the day’s top clash against Guernsey’s Nerine A at FB Fields on Sunday, Convent were in control from the start – edging out in front at the end of the first quarter 13-10.
And their usual class reached new heights in the second, with Convent dominating all over the court and translating interceptions galore to goals to take an 11 goal lead going into the second half.
