JERSEY defeated Guernsey by six frames to four in the snooker inter-insular at the Jersey Mechanics’ Institute on Saturday night.
Island champion Gary Britton (pictured)) avenged his Channel Island’s individual championship defeat by Martyn Desperques to put the hosts 2-0 ahead following frames scores of 71-56, 77-10.
Jeremy Gogan and Guernsey’s Glen Le Prevost then shared the frames in the next pairing. After losing the first on the pink, Gogan recovered from 38-4 down in the second to win 68-30 following an excellent break of 44.
Guernsey’s Adam Shorto, who scored a 54 break, levelled the match at 3-3 after winning both frames against Ray Kilmartin.
