Ian Black is likely to be the star individual and is returning from Australia to represent Jersey in Aland.

JERSEY’S Island Games swimming squad for Aland this summer comprises six men and nine women.

The KPMG-supported Island team was selected by Jersey Amateur Swimming Association officials following the 37th Island championships held at Les Quennevais sports centre over the weekend.

Places were still up for contention at the gala and the team chosen comprises a dozen swimmers from AIB Tigers and three from the Jersey Swimming Club.

The team is, Ian Black, JJ Gallichan, Tom Gallichan, Antoin Le Fèvre (JSC), Michael Le Couilliard, Ben Le Clercq (JSC), Ebony Jacklin, Charlotte Manning, Kerry Smith, Katie Speller (JSC), Rebecca Le Maistre, Iona Richardson, Grace Le Couilliard, Emma Glendening and Katy Glendening.
