Woman appears in court after three are injured in town

A WOMAN driver whose vehicle allegedly struck three women after the Miss St Saviour competition on Friday night appeared in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
Sophia Elizabeth de la Haye (23), of Rue de Samarès, St Clement, is accused of seven offences.
The charges include three counts of grave and criminal assault, driving dangerously, driving while over the limit and failing to stop and inform the police after being involved in two separate accidents, one in Ann Street and one in Brooklyn Street.
Miss de la Haye was yesterday released on conditional bail by Assistant Magistrate Bridget Shaw.
• The three women who were hit are still in hospital recovering from serious injuries. A 37-year-old is in intensive care; a 43-year-old has a broken leg in three places and severe abdominal problems; and a 47-year-old has a broken bone in her foot and a broken pelvis.
