JERSEY RFC Academy U15s secured their Hampshire Division I place for next season with a tremendous 26-0 victory away to Trojans last Sunday.

League reorganisation and a defeat would have meant Division II rugby next season, but that cloud was well and truly dispelled with an excellent team performance that was highlighted by a hat-trick of tries from man-of-the-match three-quarter Chris Levesley.

Said coach Guy Hinks: ‘When the boys do the hard work and make the supporting runs and tackles they win the space to run the moves we practice. When it it all comes together it results in strong entertaining rugby – as we’ve seen today.

‘A win like this makes it all worthwhile. One more performance like this is required on Saturday [against Guernsey in the Siam] to cap off the season.’
