Muratti double for Jersey

The women’s football team have made it a Muratti double for Jersey.

They followed up yesterday’s triumph by the men when they beat Guernsey this afternoon 1-0, the goal being scored by Lisa McLaughlin after about 30 minutes.

In the men’s match, Captain Stuart André put Jersey ahead in the first ten minutes of the game. They held on to that lead to give them the Muratti Vase for the fourth consecutive year.

Today’s result has given Jersey a hat trick of victories over the weekend, the Jersey Rugby Club having also won the Siam Cup.
