Games’ golf quartet on song again
Thursday 14th May 2009, 2:59PM BST.
ALL four of Jersey’s women Island Games golfers have made it through to today’s semi-finals of the HSBC Jersey Ladies’ Golf Association’s Matchplay championships.
Reigning champion Alex Mollin will today play fellow Aland Island Games player, and former champion Olivia Jordan-Higgins for a place in tomorrow’s final of the Division I competition.
In the other semi it is an all-La Moye clash with the two other Island Games team members, Gloria Paradiso and Elaine Pushman, vying for the remaining spot in the final.
Yesterday, in slightly more favourable conditions than earlier in the week, Mollin beat Sheila Smith three and one, and Jordan-Higgins beat Cynthia Binet six and five.
