Far East promise for Jersey

JERSEY has a lot to offer businesses in the Far East, according to a financier charged with promoting the Island in China and Hong Kong.
Shanghai-born Zhaoan Li has been appointed by Jersey Finance to bridge links between Jersey and Greater China and starts her new role next week.
Miss Li, who is fluent in English and Mandarin, will help promote the Island’s financial services industry in the finance and business communities of Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong.
‘I will be raising awareness of Jersey,’ she said. ‘Right now, not many people know about Jersey – they tend to think it is New Jersey.’
Miss Li said that Jersey had a lot to offer businesses in China and Hong Kong included private wealth management, fund administration.
