Guernsey Minister to address IOD

Guernsey Chief Minister Lyndon Trott

GUERNSEY’S Chief Minister, Lyndon Trott, is to be the guest speaker at Tuesday’s lunch club meeting of the Jersey branch of the Institute of Directors.

Mr Trott was first elected to the Guernsey States in 2000 and has previously served as Treasury Minister.

Before entering politics – as the youngest member of the assembly – he worked in the finance industry as an accountant, financial controller and company secretary.

The chairman of the Institute of Directors in Jersey said: ‘Guernsey’s Chief Minister is facing challenging times – as we are in Jersey – and we are grateful that he is sparing the time to address us, especially as so many businesses have offices in both islands.

‘We look forward to hearing his views, particularly on pan-island co-operation.’
