JERSEY won the Jersey Gas motor-cross inter-insular against Guernsey in fine style last weekend, claiming both the senior and the junior trophies.

The match was held on Saturday as part of the second race of the two day championship event which took place at Sorel over the weekend.

The whole event was well supported by a large good natured, but still partisan, crowd who loudly cheered on their respective teams.

Jersey was victorious in all the classes with the exception of the 65 cc junior event. However, this was not for lack of trying as Jersey 65 cc riders Jamie Howarth and Joshua Connery rode brilliantly, passing their Guernsey counterparts on a number of occasions only to be re- passed again.
