Island software expert leads four London workshops
Tuesday 26th May 2009, 2:59PM BST.
A JERSEY-based software architect was a guest speaker at a London conference last month.
Simon Brown, who works at C5 Alliance, was asked to give four presentations at DevWeek 2009, one of the UK’s largest conferences for software developers and IT architects.
Mr Brown led an all-day workshop in the cinema at the Barbican which attracted 50 delegates.
He also presented three further workshops on software architecture, new technologies for rich internet applications, and an introduction to the Java platform for net developers.
‘Because of the financial climate it makes sense to broaden your knowledge because businesses just want solutions, regardless of the platform,’ said Mr Brown. ‘The same applies to software architecture – helping people to broaden their own skills is better for them, and also better for the people who are getting software built.’
