STUDENTS at De La Salle College have proved themselves to be the Island’s best young investors.
A group from the school, called the Mr Po Appreciation Society, achieved the best performance in the Island’s third International Investment Competition.
The contest gives young people the chance to invest in the markets over a nine-month period.
This year’s competition included teams from all of Jersey five sixth forms, as well as Highlands College and Guernsey’s Ladies College.
But it was De La Salle who came out on top with a final portfolio of 1,215,618, a performance representing growth of 21.56 per cent.
The team in second place was Intoxicated from the Ladies’ College, Guernsey, with 16.72 per cent growth, followed by Highlands College’s HLCI 600 with 16.59 per cent growth.
