JERSEY residents given emergency treatment by a doctor in Guernsey’s hospital will have to pay for it in future.
And Islanders who need an ambulance to be taken to the Princess Elizabeth Hospital will get a bill for about £100.
However, a Guernseyman in Jersey will still be given emergency treatment free and be ferried by ambulance to the General Hospital without paying a penny.
Negotiations to set up a set of reciprocal health agreements between Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man and Gibraltar will probably lead to the adoption of a new ‘when in Rome’ principle approach.

It just keeps getting better and better doesn’t it? Incompetence abounds as far as I am concerned. What will the next blunder be? Give them a day or two and I am sure another will surface from the place formally known as Jersey Life Enriching.

fantastic!
People who have paid SS over here for almost 6 months now have to pay fully for everything except emergency treatment until they complete their 6 months. Jersey people contributing in the UK get free care whatever it is.
BUT, Jersey people in Guernsey will now have to pay for even emergency care while Guernsey people here get it for free.
Is anyone actually turning up to work in the States and running the Health Department?
