Teenager abducted?

Friday 5th June 2009, 3:00PM BST.

DSC_2027POLICE have launched an investigation after a teenager was allegedly abducted in St Helier.

The 17-year-old girl has told police that she was taken from Kensington Place to La Rocque harbour by two men in a grey or silver car at around 7.30 pm on Tuesday.

The police would not confirm whether the girl had been contacted by telephone or the internet to make arrangements for her to go to Kensington Place or whether the men were known to her. But she went voluntarily before she was put into the car.

The girl was later released after a couple intervened.

Anyone with information is asked to phone the police on 612612 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
