Banahan: Man of the match

Matt Banahan
Island rughy star Matt Banahan scored his first try for England and was declared man of the match when the team beat Argentina 37-15 this afternoon.
Banahan, the first Jersey-born male rugby player to win a full senior international cap, was making his debut with the England side in the match played at Old Trafford. He was selected after his try-scoring performance in the non-cap friendly defeat against the Barbarians at Twickenham last Saturday.
Parents Malcolm and Ann were among the crowd who saw the 22-year-old former Siam Cup player make his impressive first appearence in an England shirt.
