AIB Tigers dominated in the pool at Les Quennevais this weekend to reclaim the CI Interclub Championship title by a massive margin.

Tigers’ 181 points beat last year’s winners Beau Sejour Barracudas into second with 156 points and local rivals Jersey Swimming Club into third with 105 – firmly reasserting their place as the CI’s best.

And the club’s performance bodes well for the fast approaching NatWest Island Games as 11 out of the 15-strong team bound for Aland are Tigers swimmers.

This year, unusually, Guernsey Swimming Club chose not to take part in the competition, known as the Four-Way meet.

Tigers have won 32 out of the 50 events that have been held so far, and this year they sealed victor by a massive margin, according to Tigers coach Nathan Jégou – also picking up some records and PBs along the way.
