Brabiner through to snooker quarter finals
Thursday 11th June 2009, 2:59PM BST.
JERSEY snooker player David Brabiner is through to the quarter finals of the masters event of the European Snooker Championships being held in Belgium after a 4-0 win over Northern Ireland’s Noel Halfpenny last night.
Mr Brabiner will now face number sixteen seed, Rene Dikstra, from the Netherlands, who yesterday knocked out the top seed, Kurt Desplenter 4-2.
A win in tonight’s match would mean that Mr Brabiner will face either ex-professional Darren Morgan, who currently holds the highest break of the competition with a 120, or Malta’s Arthur Cachia for a place in the final.
