Meet the first calf born using imported semen
Saturday 13th June 2009, 2:56PM BST.
THE first Jersey calf bred from imported bull semen has been born in the Island.
The bull calf was delivered on Thursday morning at Trinity Manor, ten months after the ban on imported semen was lifted.
He has not been named yet because they are waiting for the name to be approved, but Trinity Manor Farm manager Rob Stevenson said that mother and child were both doing well.
‘He’s up and about and so far he likes to eat and sleep,’ said Mr Stevenson.

Perhaps this would be a good way to improve the Human stock, without altering the immigration or housing laws too much, We could have donors Like Billy Connolly to improve our humour,Barak Obama to improve our image on the world stage adding a little light and shade to our jaded politics,Charles Aznavour for a little romance,Roger Federa to improve our backhand,Johnny Depp to improve our looks, imagine a chief minister who looked like that, believable or what,I understand that there is Albert Einstein semen frozen in storage, import the wisdom and relieve the infrastructure…why not ?
