Hotel des Pierres at Grève De L'ecq
PLANS to demolish two hotels in green zones to build flats and houses have been unanimously refused by the Planning applications panel.
A request to knock down the hotel wings and swimming pool of West View Hotel in St Mary to build a total of eight houses on the site was rejected because it was considered to be an overdevelopment.
And plans to demolish Hotel des Pierres at Grève de Lecq to build seven flats was refused for a second time. The panel said that they still had concerns about the car parking arrangement.
No one opposed the Hotel des Pierres application at the meeting and architect Jason Dodd said that residents in the area had said it was a ‘wonderful’ scheme and had asked them when they were going to start building.
