FIVE records were smashed on Saturday when 69 vehicles took to the Five Mile Road for the JMCLCC’s LC Pallot and Sons/Sealey Tools Sprint.

The standard throughout all classes was high with the slowest time of the day still below 14 seconds.

The fastest time of the day went to Jason Mourant in his OMS racing car after he broke the class record of 10.6 seconds for the quarter-mile run on his second attempt of the day. But not content with this, he went on to produce a stunning final run of 10.2 seconds to record the day’s fastest run.

Elsewhere in the day’s racing, Kevin Rault in his 1275 cc Mini Rally Car reduced his own class record by a tenth of a second, and William Le Bourgeois lowered the record of his class by nearly a second in his Alfa Romeo Guillia.

Not to be outdone by the cars, Alan Rault, on his Jenkins Special Historic Bike, lowered the class record set in 2007 by over a second with a time of 13.53, and the last record of the day went to Oliver Du Feu on his Honda Banshee Quad Bike who knocked a further half a second off the record he set in March with a time of 12.9.
