ESTRELA Travel Holidays conceded just one goal on their way to winning the Channel Islands 5-a-side football championship for the first time at the weekend.

At the Beau Séjour Leisure Centre in Guernsey on Saturday afternoon, Estrela, who became the first Jersey Division II team to win the CI title, defeated all three Jersey teams who took part together with two from Guernsey.

Having gained a place in the eight-team tournament as Fort Regent League Division II champions, Estrela topped their four-team group following a 1-0 win against Pallot Glass, who won Division I recently and were defending CI champions.

Estrela defeated Guernsey’s PKF 8-0, with a hat-trick from Bruno Sousa, and they drew 1-1 with Guernsey’s Manzur Gents Hairdressing.
