Walkers in last year's event
THEY are going to be tired and aching and are probably the only people in Jersey hoping it doesn’t get too hot today.
While the rest of Jersey slept or returned home from a night out, hundreds of hardy Islanders got out of bed in the early hours to take part in the annual Itex Walk.
The trek, which started at the Elizabeth terminal at the Harbour at 3 am, takes walkers on a 48.1-mile ramble around Jersey’s coastline.
This year, participants are raising money for three charities: Jersey Mencap, Holidays for Heroes Jersey and Jersey Friends of the Anthony Nolan Trust.
