JERSEY Finance Ltd, the organisation which promotes the Island’s financial services industry at home and abroad, has a new board chairman.

He is Jonathan White, managing partner of Ogiers, an Advocate of the Royal Court and a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England.

Advocate White is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, a member of the Institute of Directors, and chairman of the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust.
Former States Deputy and founder member of Jersey Finance Geoffrey Grime is the organisation’s new vice-chairman.

The appointments were made at a recent general meeting attended by 70 finance industry representatives at which the retirements of former chairman Pierre Horsfall and former vice-chairman John Henwood were formalised. Both had come to the end of their statutory terms of office.
