Botha stars in Beeches’ triumph

Beeches cricket team are celebrating victory in the JEP KO Cup for the fifth time.

The NatWest Evening League Division I leaders beat Walkovers by 25 runs in the final held at Grainville last night.

Posting an impressive 176 for seven wickets in their allotted 15 overs, Beeches’ score was a bridge too far for Division I newcomers Walkovers although they only succumbed after a gallant fight.

Beeches were led to victory by man-of-the-match Hannes Botha as he scored his third Evening League half century of the season together with taking three wickets, a catch and being involved in a run out.
