Wanted: Young artists with designs on fun running

BUDDING young artists are being encouraged to use their flair in a competition to design a fun run t-shirt.

They are being invited to come up with a design for the t-shirt to be given to all competitors in the 3km fun run being organised as part of the Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon.

The winner will receive £100 in W H Smith vouchers and will be invited to start the race, which is being sponsored by the Jersey Evening Post.

It will take place at the same time as other runners are tackling the 26.2-mile marathon or a section of the relay on Sunday 27 September.

The closing date for the competition is Friday 7 August and the following guidelines should be followed.

Design Guidelines
Designs should include green and blue and up to a maximum of three other colours.
Designs should be submitted in portrait format, preferably A3 in size and should be no larger than 400mm x 250mm.

Entry Information
Entries must include name, age, address and day time telephone number and should be sent to Design a T-Shirt Competition, JEP Marketing, PO Box 582, St Saviour, JE4 8XQ.

Competition Rules
The competition is open to all children resident in Jersey up to the age of 12 years on 31 July 2009. Children of JEP staff and Standard Chartered are not eligible to enter.
