Norman bags second gold

SHOOTER Mary Norman, pictured right, won Jersey’s 16th gold in the Aland Island Games this morning.

At Bredmo, Lemland, Norman came from a point behind on the final detail to win the women’s ISSF 50 metre Prone Smallbore Rifle competition by one point from Saaremaa’s Kaia Kindlam.

Norman, who earlier in the week won gold in the ISSF 25m sport pistol team discipline by two points with Jenny Ward, finished on a total of 576 points following three scores of 97 together with, 94, 95 and 96.
