Golfer Jordan-Higgins in silver position

GOLFER Olivia Jordan-Higgins was lying in silver medal position on the ladies’ leader board with one round to play this morning.
And the Jersey men’s team have the possibility of a bronze medal.
Jordan-Higgins (21) posted a score of 74 yesterday – three over par – but is on 11 over after three rounds, having been outshone by Aland’s Jenny Haggblom, who finished up five under on Wednesday and is leading the way on two under.
Jersey are still struggling in the team competition, as Alex Mollin scored 13 over – her highest score yet – and Gloria Paradiso finished up in 88.
Elaine Pushman lies further down the leader board after yesterday’s round, for which she posted 89.
It was another difficult day yesterday for the men’s team, although Sam Crenan was consistent with his 74, putting him in seventh place with a total score of 221.
Gavin O’Neill, who was jointly leading the pack on Wednesday, is now in fourth spot with a total of 217 after finishing yesterday’s round in 75, lying two up after three rounds.
He is five strokes behind long-time leader Jarryd Dillas of Bermuda, who has had rounds of 71, 71 and 70.
Meanwhile Christy McLaughlin also posted a 75, and lies seven over in ninth place, and Andy Clarke completed the course in 78.
Jersey are in a strong position for team bronze with their third day total of 660 having them trail Bermuda (643) and the Isle of Man (654).
Today is the last day of competition for the golfers, with the ladies due to tee off first, at 7.30 am (Aland time).
