Furze fire at L’Etacq
Wednesday 8th July 2009, 2:59PM BST.
FIREFIGHTERS were tackling a huge furze fire in the L’Etacq area of St Ouen this afternoon.
Three crews, including a team of part-time firefighters, were sent to the scene at about 2 pm.
Smoke and flames could be seen spreading across the area, being fanned by strong winds.
St Mary honorary police were helping to direct traffic.
