THE Chef de Police of St Lawrence has been suspended following an investigation by the Attorney General and subsequently resigned from the post.

Centenier Tim Tindall, who stood for Constable in the last elections, was suspended over one month ago.

St Lawrence Constable Deidre Mezbourian confirmed to the JEP that Mr Tindall, who runs his own finance firm, remained suspended and that Centenier Hugh Gill had been appointed as the new Chef de Police.

Mr Tindall has worked in the finance industry for 20 years, spending seven of those working for Barclays International. He also worked for his family’s insurance business and now runs his own financial management services company.

Mrs Mezbourian stressed that Mr Tindall, who will remain as a Centenier while the investigation continues, had not been suspended as a result of his police duties. Mr Tindall declined to comment when contacted by the JEP this morning.
