Crisis talks on tennis tournament

A LAST ditch attempt to save the international tennis tournament due to be held in Jersey in November will be made today, according to organisers.
The world class Challenger Tournament is under serious threat of having to be cancelled if the current dispute between the CILTA and Les Ormes regarding the provision of tennis courts cannot be resolved.
In an attempt to do just that, representatives from organisers, the Channel Islands Lawn Tennis Association, are today due to meet with Les Ormes general manager Mike Graham to discuss the matter.
Tourism have also asked to meet the CILTA in the coming weeks about the issue. Graham said that the possibility of Les Ormes changing their stance would depend on what the CILTA said at today’s meeting.
